The Shore Plate
Hand-dived scallop, pea silk, citrus gel, and sea herbs. A bright opening before the house settles into evening light.
A United Kingdom dining salon for seasonal tasting sequences, chef counters, and candlelit table game evenings. Gourmet cooking first. Then the quiet theatre of cards, chips, and the wheel.
House Gourmet UK was imagined as a single evening in two movements: a composed meal, then a composed game. We cook from British gardens, coasts, and hearths, then open the Felt Room for table play that is social, paced, and beautifully staged.
Guests move from linen to green baize without leaving the house. Botanical pours, sparkling citrus waters, and ceremonial teas travel with the meal. The salon keeps low light, measured conversation, and a respect for the table whether it holds a plate or a wheel.
When the last course is cleared, the house changes key. Brass lamps drop lower. Chips are stacked in cream and gold. The wheel is uncovered. This is not spectacle for its own sake. It is a salon for guests who enjoy the ritual of a table game.
Hosts keep the room unhurried. Seats are limited. Conversation stays at the table. Guests may watch a wheel spin, take a seat at house cards, or simply remain for the atmosphere after dining. Play is for adults, and the house asks every guest to keep the evening gracious.
View table gamesTables open after dining service. The room is kept intimate, with time between spins and deals so the evening never feels hurried.
Dress is refined. Voices stay low. The felt is treated with the same care as linen on the dining table.
The salon is entertainment within a dining house. Guests are encouraged to set a personal limit and leave the table when the evening feels complete.
Three rooms share one temperament: green felt, gold chips, and a dealer who keeps the table honest and unhurried. Choose a wheel, a card salon, or the chef counter that looks onto both.
A mahogany wheel under a single lamp. Guests gather for the drop of the ball, the hush, and the slow reveal of the number.
Fanned decks, a brass shoe, and cream chips. A close table for guests who prefer the rhythm of cards.
A marble pass for guests who want the heat of the kitchen still in view before crossing to the games floor.
The calendar is short by design. We host only the gatherings that suit linen, candlelight, and a later hour at the felt.
A closed dining room, a four-movement menu, then a reserved wheel for the same party.
Seats at the marble pass. Dishes finished in view. A short walk to house cards afterwards.
Garden produce, hearth mains, and a slower salon once the last plate leaves the table.
Candlelight, gold chargers, string music, and a late sitting at the House Wheel.
HouseGourmetUK.com does not publish a public enquiry form. Arrangements for dining, salon seats, and private evenings are handled through the house guest relations desk during service.
Seasonal tasting seats and daylight garden service are confirmed in person at the marble foyer before the room fills.
Felt Room places are held for dining guests first. Remaining seats are released as the evening settles.
Salon Suppers and Gilded House Nights are planned with the events host. Details are agreed at the house, not through a public form.
